OUR PROCESS
01 - initial consulation
During the consultation, we will review your needs and goals for your space in detail. We will help you refine the scope, discuss design opportunities for your space, and start collaborating on initial ideas. We also guide early conversations regarding budget, timeline, style preferences, so that we can begin to execute a thoughtful plan for your project that best suits your individual goals.
02 - PROPOSAL
After the initial consultation, we will provide a Project Proposal that includes a refined Scope of Work, fee structure, timeline and budget estimates, and additional process information. Our goal is to provide a realistic view of your investment and our deliverables so we are all on the same page from the beginning of your project. After the Proposal is reviewed, we send over our contract and schedule your Site Measure appointment.
03 - Style Guide + Planning
During our first meeting, we will provide a customized Style Guide that will help us explore and define your unique personal aesthetic. As designers, we think visually and this process allows us to figure out not only what you like but WHY you like it. We take the time upfront to really understand your design style, so that we can be efficient and effective in designing a space that feels like a natural extension of you. During this meeting we will also present your proposed furniture placement plans.
04 - DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
This is where the bulk of the design process happens - we select furnishings and fixtures, develop color schemes, curate material and finish samples, design window treatments and select paint colors, gather quotes, work with our network of local trades for any custom pieces, check (and recheck) stock on all items, and develop detailed design drawings and elevations as needed. We will then meet to review your fully formed Design Concepts in person before implementing your custom design.
05 - purchasing + IMPLEMENTATION
Once your design plans are approved and payment for items is received, we will purchase all product and ensure that everything arrives safely to our receiving warehouse. We also focus on custom product development, including upholstery pieces, cabinetry, wallpaper, and lighting installations at this time. We keep you updated on the progress with weekly emails and work closely with contractors, builders, and trades during this phase, ensuring that no detail is missed.
06 - THE INSTALL
The best part of the DESIGNWORTHY process, hands down! After all product is ordered and trades have completed their work, we set a date to implement the actual design. On this day (or two), our team will deliver and place all furniture, hang art, and style your space with finishing touches, leaving you with a completed home to love and enjoy!
